Currys will fraudolently sell items that are out of stock.
I bought a vacuum cleaner online last week with the site informing me that the item would be delivered by this Friday. This was confirmed in the receipt.
After 4 days I was alarmed in not receiving a dispatch confirmation and tracking number. So I contacted customer service. Only then, and only after my inquiry, I was told the item is out of stock and they could not give me a date for when it can be back in stock.
This is incredibly poor treatment of customers, withdrawing information, and not giving a timeline for when an item that has been charged, will be consigned. I am wondering when they intended to tell me if I didn't ask? And what does it mean that they cannot tell me when it will be back in stock? So could it be in 6 months? or perhaps never?
This is very very close to fraudolent behaviour and I would like to warn everyone not to buy any product from Currys online. Even if they give you a delivery date on the webpage, that is a fake. You may pay and basically then it's up to them when you will ever receive your purchase. Go to the shop instead, or purchase somewhere reliable.
