When I went to Currys to buy a washing machine, I asked the salesperson whether they would arrange additional deliveries in case I need to move. I made it very clear that it is extremely important to me for additional delivery due to complexity of setup and installation of a washing machine cannot be managed by a simple mover. The salesperson assured me YES they do - all I had to do was to call the customer service with the new address, etc. etc. So I went ahead, as well as purchasing the extension care protection as well... one year later I decided it's not worth it so cancelled the care protection, which took 7 phone calls and 3 months AND cancelling my direct debit in order to confirm the cancellation (they kept taking money out of my account despite the online associate confirming it's cancelled). I had to make sure it is confirmed on Currys side so not to incur potential credit report issues.
1.5 yr later, I had to move apartments. So I called customer service. Guess what? They DON'T do any additional deliveries. I was extremely annoyed. The online associate assured me they will get the store to call me that very same day. Of course - I never heard from them again. So now I'm stuck with an extra problem of managing a heavy washing machine. Thanks alot, Currys. You teach your salespeople to lie at whatever means to get a sale? Bad Currys. Will never work with them again.
