About three years ago, I was getting close to buying a house, and taking out a mortgage. My student loan was my only type of 'installment' debt. Even though I paid off my debt, FICO penalized me for not having installment debt and that had a terrible impact on my credit score for years until I met CREDIT WIZARD [W I Z A R D C R E D I T H A C K @ C O N S U L T A N T DOT C O M] who came to my rescue.
