The fly London sizing is different from other Euro sizes and a size 9 is a 40 in these shoes/boots. The are big on me. I was ready to send them back but decided to try thick socks and that did the trick. They seem like they will be great winter boots for schlepping around in; They are very comfortable, but still wide in the ankle/mid foot area. I decided to keep them but the jury is still out on the Fly London sizing. I do wonder if a size 39 would be better but don't want to go thru the hassle via the mail.
