My online order went smoothly, I use Daniel footwear on a regular basis as I have an addiction to shoes/boots and find Daniel has styles which I really like, however unfortunately on collecting my order from the street lane store in Leeds I didn't receive the usual happy helpful customer service I usually get. Firstly as I approached the till to ask for my order I had to struggle to get by a member of staff which had no manners what so ever and stood in the middle of the isle even though she saw I was trying to get by she just didn't move an inch which I thought was so rude, as they had a sale on the store was messy with shoes/boots all over which made it difficult to get to the till. No smiles from either of the staff present and I felt like more of an inconvenience than a customer, the lady at the till took my name and proceeded to get my package, on bringing it back to the till she for some reason took scissors and began to open my package?? I'm usually just handed my package with a smile and a thankyou so I just can't understand why this lady wanted to see what I'd purchased, after years of shopping at Daniel I feel new staff are ruining the pleasant feeling of shopping in this particular store and I certainly won't be returning and spending the large sums of money which I used to. Customer service is so important especially when the customer is spending hundreds and is a regular customer, I'm thinking this is the reason this store is always empty of customers nowadays, such a pity.
