I bought three Prism 2.0 screen protectors for my wife and brother solely because their website advertised no fingerprints on the screen. However, within two minutes of using them, fingerprints started to show, and after a day of use, the screens were completely covered in smudges.
I contacted customer service, and they offered the excuse that the oleophobic coating isn't effective against oily hands. They explained that the “NO FINGERPRINTS” claim doesn’t hold up in that particular situation—something not disclosed anywhere on their page, despite branding their solution as revolutionary.
Their proposed solution? That I stop high-fiving my wife and brother so our hands don’t become oily—and that they’ll send us something to burn our fingerprints off. Terrific.
