Appearance is striking. In fact, I just could not hide it away in the cupboard. I display it now in the hall just outside of our bathroom. Perfect. While it isn't huge it's large enough to hold special all of the "emergency" supplies (ace bandages, gauze pads, special large bandages - those items rarely used but must have on hand). The size would fit perfectly on a cupboard shelf. LOVE and may give as gifts!
