I was promised the laptop in 5 - 8 days from purchase. 14 days after purchase I requested the order to be canceled. That same day 3 hours latter they “created a shipping label” and took the money from my account. I spent the next 4 weeks trying to get my money back and they never delivered the laptop during that time nor did they even know where it was, one day they said coming from India and the next day coming from China. After 6 weeks of the battle they delivered it “no signature required” dropped on my porch when I was not at home. I took it straight to FedEx unopened as “recipient refused package“. I then still had to battle to get my money. It finally took me filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and notifying my bank of the unauthorized withdrawal. My bank finally credited my money back after reviewing all the emails between Dell and I. Dell even sent an email the day before delivery saying that if I did not accept the new delivery date of May 12th by May 11th that the Federal Trade Commission required them to cancel the order. I never accepted the be delivery date and they still delivered the computer and I still had to fight to get my $3,507 back. I have purchased a couple Dell laptops in the past and had great customer service hence my reason for trying again, but this was the worst customer service I have had in my life. Even the salesman in Texas emailed me saying he had never experienced anything like this. In conclusion I believe That the minute I canceled the order Dell created a shipping label “while shipping nothing” just to take money from my account to draw interest on it while they drag out a super long process. I wonder how many others have been stolen from by Dell.
