works amazingly well. I have the lower lumen model and it cast more than enough light, on half power, to be able to clean up after a lovely evening spent with friends. Took me a few tries and an email to customer service to figure out how to dim the light. Somehow I kept switching between full power and half and the dim was elusive. I've seen the light, now. I can see this light being useful for all sorts of dark spots - dim work spots, power outages and camping of course. (just be mindful of your neighbors when camping. Not everyone wants light.)
