I booked a ticket which I thought was $98 which was the same price as what I would have paid if I booked through the carrier direct on their website. Since I thought it was the same price, I booked through Direct Ferries but was surprised to find there was extra $10 service fee only after I paid for it. I realised that you don’t show the additional charge initially but only add it on just before the final approval for a credit card, even after going through the trouble of filling out all the details of the passport. So why do you not transparently show the total charge on the price initially? It is a very deceitful way of getting people like me to believe it’s the same price, then overlooking the final price to spend $10 more for no added benefit. Not only will I not fall for this scam again but make sure I tell everyone about how you try to scam people into making this purchase.
