I ordered some trainers on a Friday night from Direct Sports and immediately realised that they were £10 cheaper on another website.
Unfortunately, you can't cancel an order with this company over the weekend and I was told by customer service it would have been too late to cancel the order on Monday morning!
The goods arrived promptly, but I wanted to return them, but there is a £3.99 charge.
I emailed them and offered to return them and asked if they would give me the £3.99 credit against a more expensive pair of trainers.
Alternatively a voucher towards spending on their website.
They replied promptly ignoring my offer to compromise and told me when I phoned them that they have a "highly automated system" so they are not able to compromise and I should just pay and return the shoes.
Basically they are highly automated inflexible and not able to deal with people it seems.
They have lost the further business that I offered them, and turned what could have been a positive customer service into a negative.
This was totally opposite to the other company I dealt with who have excellent customer service. No Sweat for them
