The boxes themselves are nice and sturdy. Unfortunately, the metal piece that extends down from the lock is so short that the box can simply be pulled open when in the locked position. We had a similar problem with the plastic boxes we ordered earlier and thought the metal design would fix the problem. We got lucky in that the metal from the plastic boxes was longer than what was supplied on the plastic boxes and we were able to switch them out and fix the problem.
