We decided to try these towels this year for all of our pool and beach trips. They are super light and fold up very small even thoughthey are quite large. They are thin, but soft and very absorbent.
I haven't yet had a chance to compare how quickly they dry compared to a typical cotton towel or how well they do with sand, but so far I am pleased.
