So, this is a difficult review to write because previous experience of Dock & Bay's travel towels and hair wraps has been excellent, but as always it's how things are handled when there's an issue. My order consisted of face wipes x 2, bathroom hand towels x 2, and 2 x travel towels - Bohemian and Grey Stripe. One of the bathroom, hand towels had a hole in it, so this resulted in me questioning the quality of the products I'd not used previously. Consequently everything was returned with the exception of the grey stripe travel towel. This was where it unravelled at pace. The returns process on D&B's site requires photos of any issues. Although these are logged on their site there isn't a mechanism to download your input and include that with your return. The page / form just loops back to the start so you think you've input the requested information incorrectly. I emailed them in the end and was told to return to the returns address with my original packing slip - all would be fine. Next, you pay for returns, so despite a faulty item, I had to pay to return it. I don't believe that's appropriate. To ensure everything did get back to D&B safely, I sent everything by Special Delivery (otherwise it's not insured!). That cost £11-ish. The item was received and signed for on the 24/07, but I never received a returns received email, so I emailed them with my tracking number advising it had been accepted by their warehouse. I was then asked for proof of postage, so I emailed a copy of this. I only received a partial refund. I emailed again. I was once again asked to provide my proof of postage, despite it being in the email trail. The response was they were looking in to it. I chased again, response was the warehouse couldn't find the two boxes of face wipes. I emailed again stating the package weight and that was when they processed a refund for the remaining items. Overall I would not say this was not a good experience. I would say this was a dreadful experience. In my experience return all companies who do not offer free returns will cover the return of an item they've dispatched tat is faulty. D&B have not offered a partial refund of my returns cost. Will I buy from them again - unlikely unless it's a product I have previous experience of, which is a shame. It will also mean I will recommend other companies who sell funky camping / travel towels as their returns process is more simple and straightforward.
