I have had the towel for barely a week, so it is a little early to tell. What I can say is that it certainly is absorbent, it does work. However, it may feel weird to the touch to some people. I can only describe it as a much softer and smoother shammy. This may take some time to get used to. But still, it works, is incredibly light and packable. I cannot confirm at this stage that the sand just falls off and that it is not prone to smell. I am happy with it, though. If it stands the test of time, great!!!
