I was surprised at how thin the towel was, but I guess it would need to be to dry quickly. I only wish it was softer. I seemed scratchy. I gifted it my niece who is a competitive swimmer and she was happy to receive it. The color that I wanted was sold out, but the one I purchased was pretty, too.
