I focused so much on the “sand resistant” feature of this towel that I lost the detail of what this “towel” is made of. It’s basically an oversized microfiber towel that I use in the kitchen for cleaning. It’s thin, sure, because it’s a thin piece of microfiber. Somehow I expected a real towel that was a blended microfiber. If you travel a lot, I suppose this would do the trick. But I don’t want to sacrifice quality for space in my beach bag. There are plenty of other options these days for “sand resistant towels.” Don’t waste your money on this one. And yes, I lost money, because I had to pay $8 in shipping to return this.
