The engineer who came could not take on board the problem! At the time of his visit the fire lit - but why did he light the fire when he said there was a gas leak and then shut off the gas? Our service engineer had diagnosed the problem after consulting the manufacturer. The engineer did not recognise that there was a problem nor the terminology. Our insurance cover would cover the cost our service engineer said ; it would seem not as the engineer said the fire was working at the time of his visit. Getting connected to the appropriate customer service person was not easy.
