I've used doordash because I am disabled and cannot always drive. This last order is the last time. If there is a promo code, and you cancel (even if it's due to no one taking the order for almost an hour), that promo code is then gone. And I was forced to use the credit returned to my account to get fewer items, as well as a necessary item I did not really want. I did not have the extra money required to make up for the loss of the promo code after I canceled my order due to their problems. Contacted customer service and they are useless. Then was asked a tone-deaf question - I'm sure it's because both agents I chatted with are Indian. I took off my payment info and deleted my account. The only time dashers are consistent is if you tip them highly or you get actually nice dashers, and that is not feasible with all the unnecessary fees. The last few orders I got for food were cold, soggy, and sad, and the tip was reasonable. I get the dashers need to make money too, but the entitlement to expect a huge tip for maybe 1 dollar worth of gas is insane. So I've learned my lesson and will just eat at home or get pick up (without doordash) when I can, including grocery items. I don't like being scammed. I tried dash pass and it wasn't even worth it unless I tipped highly. Way to drain anyone's bank account! Unacceptable! 0/10
