I ordered my soup around 820am and delivery was set for 920am. The app showed that the order was received by the restaurant and being prepared. THEN for the next hour and half, no progress was made. After 920 came and went, I reached out to my dasher #1 Zacher, who told me he just received the order around 950 and was now on his way. 950am came and went, so I texted him again and asked if this delivery was still coming as I had to get ready for work. No answer. I texted again asking for an ETA and a new dasher #2 replied. His name was Gerald and he just logged on and received my order. Apparently Dasher #1 cancelled the pick up with our notifying me after an hour and half of waiting for him. Dasher #2 actually called and apologized but said he was on the way and got my food to me in less than 20 minutes. Dasher #1 should be fired. Door dash, you need to not allow pick ups to be canceled by the designated dasher or give us an option to cancel the order, so we can get timely food thats not an hour late and cold. Cold SOUP SUCKS!
