I placed an order (as a gift/surprise for a sick co-worker) to be delivered to his home. I placed the order in the morning for delivery around dinner time. I received full confirmation and my credit card was charged. I didn't think I needed to follow-up any further. Much to my horror, 10 minutes prior to the scheduled delivery time, I received an email from DoorDash that my order was cancelled. I called the restaurant directly (since there was no way to contact DoorDash) to find out why my order was cancelled. Apparently, the restaurant listed on their website, does not do take out and has never worked with a delivery service! They were shocked to find out they are listed on the DoorDash website. Seems to me that someone at DoorDash needs to make sure the restaurants listed on their website are ACTUALLY able to do takeout and delivery. I was very embarrassed as this gift to my co-worker was from a group of us so I had to let my mates know that it was a FAILURE!
