It seems that the DoorDash experience is 90% dependent on your Dasher (delivery person). My first 2 experiences were fine - placed order online and received delivery of what I ordered in the expected amount of time. My most recent experience was a disaster: 1. Everything was fine with placing my order online. 2. The dasher made it to the restaurant. And was there for 45 minutes long past the expected delivery time. 3. So I called the restaurant and was informed that the dasher had been trying to contact me because the amount I was charged for the order was incorrect. 3 BIG problems with that statement - no one from DoorDash had texted, emailed or called me to that point regarding the situation; the order the lady at the restaurant read back to me was completely incorrect; in addition, it turns out that even if the order had been correct, the prices on DoorDash's website were incorrect. 4. I cancelled the order with the restaurant, and sent DoorDash a complaint email. 5. 2 minutes later - I get my first text from the dasher telling me to cancel the order online. I responded that it wouldn't let me. 6. 10 seconds later I get a phone call from their 'customer service' wanting to correct the situation. 7. I told 'customer service' cancel my order, refund my credit card, fire the dasher, and some other expletive laden suggestions about how to spend the rest of their day. 'Customer service' was very nice and they let me choose how I wanted my refund. I'm not likely to use DoorDash in the future.
