When is DPD not DPD? Answer: When a driver in a DPD marked vehicle, in DPD uniform drives into your front garden off the gravel driveway, gets stuck and causes damage apparently. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s a duck? And it is shocking that DPD won’t accept any liability or offer any assistance. According to DPD it wasn’t one of their drivers, which is strange, because I am sure we can all agree that the photo is of a DPD van? DPD claim it was an employee of M&S Townend Ltd., a delivery firm owned by Mick Townend based in Leeds. He is refusing to accept liability either saying that my garden should have been coned off! The job was booked by the supplier of my order with DPD, they are paying DPD. DPD have flat out refused assistance on helping me to get this sorted, even refusing to provide me with details of who the actual company who did the delivery were and I am left high and dry with repair costs totalling over £450. So if you’re thinking of using DPD for any delivery. Don’t. And if you’re thinking of using Mick Townend don’t. Mick has consistently lied, dodged liability, tried to hide behind DPD by refusing to provide his company details when requested to do so and trying to leave his employee high and dry for the damage who lied claiming the package weighed 50kg when it actually weighed 25kg. Unscrupulous at best. You have been warned!
