Delivery in Rochdale tried twice both times wrong address

I had a speaker that needed repairing at the manufacture. I parcelled it up well double bubble wrapped and well taped. It arrived cracked on 3 corners. Now no longer worth repairing, I emailed a complaint to DPD. Various emails back and forth asking for photo evidence of the damage, how it was packed, quality of the box etc. Then they asked for a claim value which I sent. Now all communication from them has stopped despite me reminding them several times. I tried calling but all I got was a call center in the back of beyond, who couldn't help me because the delivery was ordered online. I am now at a point where I have no further option but small claims of which I dont want the hassle. This is an absolute disgrace. Regulations should be in place so customers can talk to someone easily, and resolve the matter without feeling ripped off without consequence for them. I would strongly advice anyone from using DPD.

Absolutely shockingly bad experience with DPD. They used to be a good courier company but no more. Today we were expecting a collection from a courier of DPD and waited in all morning, keeping a watch on our door and Ring doorbell. We had tracking to say they were expected between 11.05-12.05 but no-one came to the property and then upon checking the tracking again just after this time they told an absolute lie and said they had collected the item. No-one collected anything, no ring on the doorbell happened so if they collected anything at all it was not from our property! On phoning DPD and sitting on hold for ages they were totally useless, there was nothing they could do even though we have a relatively local depot and all they suggested is that we get back in touch with the seller who arranged for the collection. I would not recommend DPD anymore one bit and given the choice would avoid them like the plague.

A TIME SLOT OF 19.09 - 20.09 GIVEN VIA EMAIL STATING JAMES THEIR DRIVER WOULD BE DELIVERING MY PARCEL, JUST PASSED MY TIME SLOT A VAN PULLED UP OUTSIDE MY HOUSE AND THE DRIVER DID NOT EVEN GET OUT THE VAN AND DROVE OFF, WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES ANOTHER EMAIL RECEIVED STATING THIER DRIVER JAMES HAD MISSED ME. ALL CAUGHT ON CCTV, SO DPD WHY DO YOU LIE AND WAIST PEOPLES TIME. YOUR DRIVERS MAY BE BUSY BUT SO ARE THE REST OF US.

Always say tried to deliver, but always someone here and we got doorbell camera . You know when they going to say they tried to deliver. They knock the tracking off . Sometimes even taking a photo of the wrong street. It’s a pity . We’re one of the best .

I sad home waiting for the parcel at the expected timeslot. Nobody came, nobody called. I then received a message saying the parcel had been "refused" due to the name "not being recognized". I called customer service and the person on the phone told me that the reason for the failed delivery was that instead of "Flat 2" followed by the building name, the address was written as "2" followed by building name and therefore, the absence of the word "flat" explained caused the issue. The person on the phone also said that I "lied" when I said the address was indeed correct. You would assume that given that they had the right postcode, the right street address, and the right building name but were wondering about what "2" meant, they could have called me. Well they did not and instead declared the "name not recognized".

Bought a pair of speakers, and the seller paid DPD to deliver the parcel on Monday 8th December. On Saturday 6th December I receive an email from DPD saying my parcel is out for delivery. I re-schedule the parcel for Monday again through their website and get an email confirming it will be delivered on the Monday. As I have not got a delivery time slot on the Monday I contact them. A customer advisor LIES to me: saying I never rescheduled the delivery. I told them I have emails confirming. They instist I haven't, even if the online tracking clearly states that. I ask to speak to a manager. I was disconnected from the app. This is a company of VILE LIARS who are TOTALLY UNRELIABLE

Unfortunately, my experience with DPD has been extremely disappointing. My package was lost and, despite multiple requests for clarification, I never received any clear explanation about what happened. Customer support was unresponsive and unable to provide useful information or a solution. I expected more professionalism and better care for customers. At this point, I can only advise against using their service, hoping they improve the handling of shipments and their communication with clients in the future.

Lying delivery drivers say they missed you but photo is no where near my house and I have CCTV which shows they lie. Never use this company they are worse than Royal Mail. My package has still not arrived therefore will seek legal action

DPD is turning out to be very unreliable!!!!!!!! They were supposed to deliver an item to my house, this delivery service decided to drop my package 15m drive for my house without my consent, they are telling me there isn’t anything they can do!

They delivered God nows where sent me a picture of a storage box somewhere and they say "the parcel was handed to resident", they definitely not, being at home all day 2 feet from the door, nobody rang/knocked 🤬. Fuming ..

When @dpduk__delivery @DPD_Uk_Crew let your dog out for a run in the road, and just drive off… WOW! 🤬 I am in actual shock at how awful this is - didn’t even try to notify us or make us aware of what had happened. If they just rang the doorbell non of this would have happened!

The driver tried to deliver parcel Twice to the wrong address tried chat but the bot just repeats things and you get nowhere two completely different photos by the same driver and not one of them is the correct address

Delivery driver says they attempted delivery twice, outside the indicated timeslot, while I was at home waiting for the bell to ring. Both times, the driver sent photographs of wrong addresses, although my address is correctly written on the package. Cannot reach company through any communication channel. Reference, Order N 15503801945305 1st delivery DEC 4, timeslot 15:58-16:58 Advised driver was late. Delivery "attempted" at 23:38 with photograoh of another home sent. Doorbell never rang, driver never tried to deliver anything. 2nd delivery DEC 5, timeslot 14:30-15:30 Advised driver was late again. Delivery "attempted" at 17:48 with photograph of a second wrong home sent. Doorbell never rang, driver never tried to deliver anything. I was home all afternoon and evening both days

03 Dec 2025 I sent a parcel to my friend in Italy. 05 Dec 2025 it returned up at my own address with no explanation. Contacted DPD customer services. There was no accessible record as to why the parcel had been returned, and the International Team that could help had finished at 17:00, not to return until Monday morning. I did not know until this moment that Europe and postage to it was a Mon - Fri 09:00 - 17:00 type of business. I suppose the only "good" thing that came out of this is that it only took 2 days for it to be returned. 😖

DPD has been the worst delivery company I’ve had to deal with. For the past two years, I haven’t received a single parcel at my flat. This includes weekly fresh-food deliveries clearly labelled “Do not leave unattended.” My only delivery instruction is “Don’t leave at concierge, I am home,” yet they never attempt delivery and consistently leave parcels unattended at a concierge 500m away. Sometimes they don’t even register the delivery, leaving me without access to the room. Their customer support has been equally unhelpful. I’ve reported every single failed delivery with zero improvement. Recently, their service has somehow gotten worse. Instead of attempting my flat or even the concierge, they now skip both entirely and leave parcels at a post office 10 minutes away, accompanied by the message: “Our driver missed you.” They didn’t — they simply never tried. I’ve started cancelling subscriptions when DPD was involved and let the companies know. DPD cannot perform their core job — delivering parcels.

Waited whole day for my parcel only to receive a text at 20:38 saying they'll deliver to "Shop" as no one was in, followed by another message saying they'll deliver at my address tomorrow. I have a camera so it's easy to tell that no one attempted delivery. Appears that a once reliable company is racing to the bottom.

Bought a laptop from HP and firstly tried to deliver it early after giving us a slot. As they couldn’t leave it they sent another day and time. Took further time off and now they had damaged the box so wouldn’t deliver it. HP then cancelled so used curry’s and again after giving us a day and time DPD failed to deliver it. Live chat was useless told us to just sit and wait. Still didn’t arrive!!
