OVERCHARGES & FAKE CHARGES – Audit Your DPD Invoices There is no doubt that DPD drivers are better than most when it comes to delivery. However, using DPD as your courier for business is a very different story. Over the past 12 years, we have slowly been removing DPD from our business due to fake charges and overcharging. At this point, fake charging customers is no different from walking into a shop and stealing - it is fraud. We send out a box measuring 35cm x 20cm, weighing 12kg, and we get hit with a £6.75 “Non-Compliant Handling Charge.” When confronted, DPD either removes the charge without argument, or insists it is valid without offering any proof (even though we do have proof that our box was compliant and we have photos - size compliant, not too much tape, the perfect DPD box). Recently, we also caught them charging us a “Relabelling Fee.” When we queried this, and of course we take photos of our labels, DPD simply said, “It must have been something else.” Really? Imagine if they are charging this to thousands of customers - excellent sideline money making scam! The first time I picked up that DPD was charging unscrupulous fees and when we decided to start phasing them out, was when COVID was done and dusted, we were still being charged “PPE surcharges” on our invoices. When queried, DPD said it was for PPE for staff. When we pointed out that PPE was no longer being worn (a year after covid ended, they claimed the charges were for the disposal of old PPE… and then the fees quietly disappeared. My first thought was, "So as customers, we’re expected to pay for the disposal of their old PPE?" Really? And so DPD continues to find ways to scam customers out of money. They rely on the fact that business, especially corporate, will not check their accounts carefully enough, and even if they do, DPD shrugs it off and offers a refund...or not! It's fraud, it's a scam and the British people are paying dearly for it without recourse.

DPD managed for the first time to actually deliver to my door today I was told by Amazon that they had delivered it to me when in fact they hadn’t until today I don’t usually have a good experience with this company as normally they deliver it to wrong address well done 👍

Once again I am unhappy with service from DPD. Driver requested to leave parcel with a neighbour but didn’t. He then dropped the parcel off at a shop which was not the nearest DPD collect shop. Large parcel too! Useless

This is the third time in a month that the DPD driver has simply opened the door to the office, dropped the parcel on the floor (behind the door) and driven off. Every other driver from every other courier company comes in, rings the bell on the counter and waits for me to take delivery (which takes about 15-20 seconds). At the very least he could have put it on the table about 3 feet from the doorway instead of the floor ... pure laziness and extremely annoying! Apart from that, the parcel was delivered when promised, hence the 3 stars.

I was expecting a Vodafone package on the Thursday-then after some phone calls I received email to say it would be Friday after 12 pm and that i would have hour slot confirmation on the Friday after 11 am by email. That happened and i was told between 1.30 pm-2.30 pm. It arrived not much past 1.30 and the tracking was accurate. The delivery guy was very polite. I can only give this 3 stars though because it was a day late and i had paid the extra for quick delivery.

Advised that delivery delayed due to problem in my area (Buckingham). Now advised goods are in Inverness, 300 miles away. Hardly in my area. What a joke.

Fast courier service but frequently delivering my parcels to several streets away from my house, to people I have never met. I wouldn't mind but I have been home on all occasions to accept delivery.

I would buy Andy a bottle of single malt for his funeral and disperse it on his grave but I would let it pass through my kidneys first

Normally can’t fault them as all the delivery drivers have been good in all aspects however with today’s delivery I can now understand why people say they are rubbish. Despite the tracking showing as nearby my parcel never arrived to my address - it showed as having been delivered and signed for by GTF - which I took to stand for ‘go to fuck’. On hold to customer services for 30mins only for them to say oh the delivery guy would call me back in 10/15 mins but did not relay back to them where my parcel was. The delivery guy eventually turns up in the 10mins with my parcel and claims that his tracking system was at fault And it was the same for all customers. I did not believe his excuse considering his demeanour and also the fact that he was much later than the time slot. Customer services not so good either as what happens if parcel is missing and my personal details etc - oh the delivery guy will call you.

Mobile phone delivery scheduled for Monday - delivery to work. All good... in theory. DPD try to deliver early as they are in the area on Saturday. Nice idea, but obviously not the requested day. I get an email on Monday saying my request to have my delivery date moved to Tuesday has been accepted. This was news to me. I didn't make this request, which was worrying. Turns out it was an error at the distribution office. I'm assured the parcel will be delivered on Tuesday. I'm given the super useful time slot of 06:00 - 22:00. Since I don't work 16 hour shifts, as far as information goes, that offered zero help. Courier service can't be an easy job, but many complaints could be mitigated by making communications more clear and helpful.

‘I was expecting a really important time critical legal document (from Spain to Plymouth,UK) yesterday, the package of which was described as ‘out for delivery’ on the online tracking system. All very reassuring I thought, until 4pm and it still hadn’t arrived. I spoke to a lovely gentleman from customer services who acknowledged it was on the van and he would contact the driver, which he did. Apparently the driver had ‘finished for the day’. I was offered an up to 10.30am slot the next day, which I accepted. The next day, I keep an eye on the DPD tracking system, which at 10am still did not show that the package is even ‘out for delivery’. I was absolutely beside myself and rang customer services, preparing myself for a drive to Exeter depot (from Plymouth) to get the package myself if I had to. The lady from customer services was an absolute darling (I was in quite a state), and she reassured me that the package was on the van and would be with me between 10.27 and 11.27. I noticed there was no change in the tracking system, which I felt would have helped. Anyway, the delivery man did turn up and acknowledged he had a call yesterday from customer services, but ‘was at Tamerton Foliot’. I was most polite, but wanted to say (in a very loud voice) ‘So what, it’s only 3minutes away from here!’ As if reading my thoughts he said that his gadget showed ‘hold back’, but I’m sure that a call from customer services, balanced with a modicum of common sense and willing could have overridden this, to ensure the package got to me on time and as contracted. Interestingly, after delivery, the tracking system updated to show ‘out for delivery’ and ‘delivered’, which kind of defeated the object. I think it is fair to say that I will absolutely NOT be voting this delivery driver for DPD driver of the year, but was really impressed with the kindness and empathy shown by customer service. Thank you generally DPD for getting this package to me; there are many many people who are relieved today as a result :-)

Very poor customer service (based only on the one man I spoke to last week). When I phoned to ask about a missed delivery his tone was very abrupt and not helpful in the slightest. Re the messaging that a package will arrive. Whilst helpful, it doesn't allow for the recipient to choose a time we will be home, so we either keep on missing deliveries or else rearrange it each day! The system would not change the address to my work address. And it also never tells me where the package is coming from, so I have no idea if it is small enough to be left in a porch cupboard etc. So again; really not much use.
