My recent experience with DPD UK has been both frustrating and disappointing. I see various other complaints, that goes to show how incredibly unreliable your company and values are. On multiple occasions, your delivery driver Abhinash, made no genuine attempt to deliver my parcel. I was waiting at home and then received notification claiming delivery was attempted, when he didn't come to the door or drop a card. Your delivery windows are completely unreliable, as you fail to keep to the specific time period you set, and offer no explanation. Your communication is non-existent. Your customer service is equally appalling. It is also aggravating that there's no meaningful way to provide feedback or rate your unprofessional drivers. Your system promotes unacvountability and shows how little the company wants to improve the quality of their service. You lot should be ashamed of yourselves. Amos, Hereford

I just finished a night shift and stayed up for a parcel coming at around 9am. I got an email and a text saying sorry we missed you. I looked out of all of my windows and didn't see any van. Called up and DPD said they'd send him a message but there's only one way communication and they'd ask him to redeliver. He didn't. He took a picture of a random brown door so he probably tried delivering my £200 package to a random address. When I brought up this concern to the customer service they told me "but he didn't deliver it, and we have an internal service..." Which I would have to sort out, so thank you? Turned up at the drop off point to take the parcel. I'm behind two people also asking for DPD parcels. Another two people come in while I'm waiting for DPD parcels. While he's getting my parcel, and you can't make this up, a DPD driver comes and is turned away because they have too many parcels. This is a systematic problem. Don't support this company. The Lincoln branch of DPD is hot garbage.

The delivery was made exactly when DPD said it would and the goods were left exactly where I asked them to be left. It is so convenient to have a delivery slot given to you by 07:00 in the morning and with a 1hr slot. Perfect!

Absolutely useless bunch! My parcel was sent half an hour away from my house and when I did the hour round trip to collect it the shop keeper, who couldn't care less said he didn't have it and I needed to contact DPD. When I rang them, after 25 mns someone told me it's at the shop (we already know it isn't!) and I should do another hour round trip to check.... utterly useless. They wouldn't even redirect the parcel to a collection point close than me!

Really do not understand how this delivery company still runs. The worst delivery company I have ever used. Especially the drivers in this company. Despite they have my correct address, they going to the wrong place. It is impossible to contact with the drivers. It is impossible to to receive your delivery from the first time with this delivery company.

Shocking. The driving was running late so he delivered my package to a random property miles from my home. The delivery photo was of the box in his van! DPD were very good in sorting it out, though it took a call from the merchant that fortunately happened to be a large online business. The outer box was damaged but the item was safe and packed in another box inside, so I didn't lodge a complaint - I was just glad to have it. If I have a choice I will not be using them again. I'd rather pay the extra for a reputable courier.

Yet again the delivery driver said we weren't in when we were! And they had notification of a safe place, but didn't bother to use it or as the parcel was tiny they could put it through the letter box . This happens constantly and we are convinced he just can't be bothered when its conjng up to the end of his shift

This is by far the worst courier company I have had to deal with. The website and app are an exercise in frustration. Barely any information is given. This company is one of those that basically hide and make it extremely difficult to talk to an actual person. They use this infuriating AI agent which you just end up going around in circles. One minute it's telling me it's been delivered to my neighbour a day before they actually received the parcel or that now it's somewhere else. If they don't deliver on the day they are supposed, don't expect any customer service. There isn't any.

I am very disappointed with DPD’s service. The courier was supposed to deliver my package, but instead left only an empty delivery note with no information whatsoever about where my parcel actually is. Am I supposed to guess where it was left? Should I walk around to every neighbour, every yard, and every doorstep to find it? It’s unacceptable that the courier couldn’t even write a single word on the note. No communication, no indication, no responsibility. This is not how deliveries should be handled. I expect a much higher standard of service — DPD should ensure that their couriers provide clear information and deliver packages properly.

Got abuse off a hothead DPD driver thinking he was in the right. Disgusting behaviour from someone in uniform. He was swearing hurling hand gestures out of his van window. Nasty person.

The flowers for my mother's funeral were lovely, but no thanks to DPD but because my local supermarket has a good flower section. DPD failed to deliver my actual flowers on the correct day or even the following day, which I had allowed for. I wasn't even notified on the second day that they were not going to arrive that day until after 1pm, and then only because I was checking the status, not because they bothered to notify me. When I arrived back from the funeral it was to find that the box had been left on the garden path instead of in the porch as directed and was ruined by the rain. So I went to review my delivery and ticked the 'I want to complain ' box and nothing happened except the form closed

DPD has reached a level of incompetence I didn’t think possible from a national delivery company. Their drivers appear to treat delivery as an optional extra, with parcels routinely “attempted” at completely different houses, different streets, and sometimes even random numbers that bear no relation to mine. It’s become a lottery where my parcels might end up anywhere except the address clearly printed on the label. The excuses they churn out are just as ridiculous. I’ve had everything from “Unable to find your property” to “Couldn’t get through the gates”. We don’t even have a gate. It genuinely feels as though their drivers work from a rotating script of pre-set excuses rather than putting in the minimal effort required to deliver to the correct location. As for communication, it’s virtually non-existent. Their customer service might as well not operate at all, there’s no human to speak to, only endless automated loops that lead nowhere. If you hold on though, you do get through to a call centre, where the staff apologise but are unable to provide any support or resolution. There is no sense of responsibility, no willingness to help, and absolutely zero accountability when they get things wrong. And they get things wrong with staggering frequency. At this stage, DPD might as well stand for “Doesn’t Properly Deliver” or “Delivering Problems Daily”, because that’s exactly what they specialise in. If you have any choice in courier, choose literally anyone else. DPD is a textbook example of how not to run a delivery service. UPDATE: After staying in for three consecutive days to receive a parcel, each day given a specific one-hour delivery slot, and after providing clear directions and a contact number, DPD still couldn’t manage a straightforward delivery. Two attempts were falsely marked as “can’t find the house”, despite the property being correctly addressed, easy to locate, and clearly signposted. The third was marked as “owner not in – could not deliver”, while we were sitting inside waiting. To make matters even worse, the driver provided photographic “evidence” of an attempted delivery — not of our home, but of an entirely different house with an entirely different number. One would assume that basic reading comprehension is a prerequisite for a delivery driver, but evidently not at DPD. This isn’t a small inconvenience; it’s an ongoing catalogue of excuses, misinformation, and outright incompetence. The complete lack of care, accuracy, and accountability shown by DPD is nothing short of disgraceful.

I have been waiting at home all day for a scheduled SwapIT delivery, having cancelled a day in the office to ensure I was available. My desk has a clear view of both the front door and the window, and at no point did anyone attempt delivery. Despite this, I received a message stating: “I’m sorry to inform you that your parcel from Greenbridge Technology was refused today, 26th November 2025, because the item for exchange was not ready or required. This means that when the driver attempted to complete the SwapIT delivery, the swap couldn’t happen.” This is simply not true, as no driver attended my property. When I attempted to raise a concern via the DPD app, the process was extremely frustrating. The chatbot repeatedly asked the same questions and never connected me to a team member, despite saying it would do so. There was no clear route to raise feedback or log the issue properly. I then phoned customer services. After 15 ton20 mins in a queue, the adviser rearranged the swap for Friday, she was unable to direct me to any way of formally logging my complaint. She also confirmed that the delivery photo only showed the parcel itself, no door, no property, and I am unable to view this photo in the app. Overall, the experience has been abysmal from start to finish. The process, which should be simple, has proven unnecessarily difficult and completely ineffective. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve both delivery accuracy and customer support.
