I awaited a parcel to be delivered by DPD, I have the DPD app and saw they were going to deliver between 2009hrs and 2109 hours. The tracking info let me know when the driver Hussein would approximately arrive, it then said he is in my area and will be about 4 minutes.
After a while I thought that was a long 4 minutes! When I checked the app there was a message saying I could not produce proof of age!!!!
I had not seen or heard from the driver! It was a downright lie!! I can understand if there was trouble locating me but please do not lie to a customer!!! The next day (today) I spoke to DPD, they told me the parcel was on route back to the sender! And they had not even tried the second delivery attempt!! They would not give me any information and more or less kept me in the dark. They said they would escalate but it would be an in house investigation and I would not know the outcome!!! Surprise surprise!! I contacted the sender who got onto them straight away hopefully tomorrow I’ll receive the returned parcel L, I won’t hold my breath.
Previous to this I had another parcel from them but it did not turn up! It said the parcel was delivered to myself, the photo clearly showed a woman’s hand with blue nail varnish. Luckily I located my parcel further down the road when a lady came out and asked if I was expecting a parcel. Terrible customer service no support at all. Clamp up and cover up appears to be the order of the day. DPD a clowns outfit in my view.
