DPD stated parcel was out for delivery, early morning for delivery before 10pm.
After 10pm, no parcel, no message stating there was a problem. A bit later message received from Amazon stating “ DPD ran into an issue when attempting your delivery“.
Next morning DPD delivered parcel, a Panasonic bread maker, rang door bell and very quickly rushed off, attempted to call him back before he got to van,
Opened package that showed some packaging damage. Inside the package a quick look showed a dent in panels. Placing bread maker on level surface, woul not stand severely. Looked underneath, Brocken plastic and major damage to one foot.
DPD obviously new they had damaged the package, but instead of reporting and returning to Amazon they dropped the parcel off, no warning, and quickly left the scene, leaving some one else to sort out the problem. No apologies from DPD or Amazon. Will attempt to not use either of these companies again.
