An employee of mine sent a parcel to me using the shop delivery service. It was meant to be available for collection for a week but I went to the shop after a couple of days and found out that the shop had returned the parcel to DPD and they had taken it back after just a couple of days. This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time I went to the shop the second day after the parcel had been sent to the shop and it has already been sent back even though I was well within my collection window.
DPD told me several times that if the parcel was returned to the sender they would issue a refund to the sender but never did. I went through the same conversation 4+ times on their chat function each time being told a refund would be issued only on the final chat to be told that the sender had to now contact them and that their depot never update the parcel to returned even though my employee told me it had been sent back.
Customer service was awful, no solution was found and I had so many hours of my life wasted for DPD's mistakes. They also forgot to put my email on to receive updates so I had to chase them through chat every time.
In the end hours of mine and my employees time were wasted and all because DPD took the parcels back before they were meant to.
I highly recommend avoiding DPD and using a different service.
Bitterly disappointed from what is meant to be one of the leading delivery companies.
