Expected a delivery Monday, made sure I was home, didn't arrive. Tracking details said that they had attempted delivery, nobody was home and they left a calling card. This was a LIE! Contacted them (via Twitter as NO telephone numbers available). They apologised, said they contacted depot and driver would be back on Tuesday with the delivery and would call if any problems. Delivery due between 18.50-19.50. Sent a message at 19.11 to say nobody was home (I was in from 3pm as usual!!) so ANOTHER LIE and that the parcel would now be sent to the local shop for collection. There was no phone call as promised if there were any problems. I contacted them on Twitter again but obviously everyone had gone home by that time so Wednesday morning I receive this: Hi Donna, I'm so sorry that this still hasn't arrived with you. I've raised this with our depot management who are looking into this now, your parcel is due to be delivered to the pick up shop today and we're unable to override this I'm really sorry. If you do not wish to collect please contact your retailer who'll be able to arrange for your parcel to be returned back to them and redelivered to your address. I'm so sorry that I can't override this. :( [Sam] So now after 2 days of taking time off work, waiting at home for delivery of car parts, have now missed the slot booked in to get car repaired and also expected to now travel to a shop to collect my delivery. Absolutely disgusting service from DPD. I hope I never expect a delivery from them again
