DPD couriered my package specifically to the RECEPTION DESK at my hotel in Teddington, U.K. When I arrived at the hotel May 28 2017 I was told no package had been received. After the long weekend and my return to the U.S.A. I contacted DPD who stated it was delivered on May 27 and signed for by someone called BEN. I asked and got documented “proof” and contacted the hotel again who reviewed their CCTV tapes. The package was not delivered to the RECEPTION DESK or anyone called BEN but left at the GOODS ENTRANCE with someone who had worked for the hotel for less than 2 weeks who did not write a signature. I can only assume the courier from DPD made up the name BEN and a squiqqle was supposed to represent a signature so as to pretend the delivery had been made as directed.
I made 3 international phone calls to DPD trying to get someone to speak to a Manager. Michelle and Helen both promised that a manager would contact me after each call. No one did. Another “customer service” representative at DPD said reprimands for drivers are handled internally and I would not be informed about what, if anything, was done.
I sent an email with all the above information to DPD warning that if no manager contacted me within a week I would post DPD’s lousy service and total disregard of their customers to every review site I could find to warn other potential customers of their incompetence. This seems to be the only recourse available these days. So here it is; use DPD at your own risk!
