Ordered hair product from an online store and chose (and paid) for next day delivery. This was a Thursday. Had a text from DPD with options to have the parcel delivered to a local store - chose this as I would have been out of the house for approx 2 hours on the Friday and didn't want to miss it.
The next morning I received an email from the online store saying my parcel wouldn't now be delivered until Monday! Product ordered was needed for Sunday, so called their customer service only to be told that there was nothing they could do, and as they had dispatched the item on time they would not refund the £7 delivery charge! Was 'advised' that this was somehow my fault for choosing delivery to a store as it would have 'interrupted' DPD's route!! The store is approximately a mile from my house. Is not the first time DPD have failed to deliver items next day - I honestly don't know why companies employ them as couriers - they are so unreliable.
