15th September 2017:
Ordered some stuff from John Lewis for delivery. They chose to use DPD to deliver. Received text and email confirming a 1 hour time slot for the delivery. Waited long before and after the time period. Then i get a message saying the driver tried to deliver but nobody was there to receive the delivery, which was a complete lie.
Then I chose to receive the item from a DPD shop. DPD accepted the request but they chose not to deliver at the shop next instead deliver at the house. Another time time slot for deliver was given again but nobody turned up.
Then I called John Lewis to complain and request that it gets delivered as there was plenty of working hours remaining. When John Lewis spoke to them they said they cant deliver again and somehow it was my fault for requesting the delivery to the shop. Why give me that option at the first place?
2 days wasted now. Have to wait for tomorrow and see what happens.
I would't recommend DPD at all to anyone. I occasionally used to send parcels using DPD but now i know what they are like. They will lie and not care about wasting your time.

Update to the review;
After complaining to John Lewis on Friday, DPD offered to deliver it on Saturday free of charge and I was re-assured it will come to me on Saturday 16th in the morning before mid day! And I would also get a call from the driver with the ETA!
But to no avail, DPD failed to deliver again on Saturday. Waited all day.
Complained to JL again and they said to go and pick up from the DPD depot. I had not much option but to do this as DPD proved themselves incompetent again and again for a simple delivery.
Luckily i was able to pick it up from the depot without too much surprise. The guy at he counter couldn't believe how bad service i received for this parcel.
