I received a message telling me a parcel could not be delivered as no one was in. This is rubbish, I've been waiting ALL DAY for the package. I suspect the driver simply decided not to deliver any more parcels tonight (it's now 9:13pm). Besides this, the package is likely to be small enough to go through the letterbox, it's a tiny cable!
The message also said the driver left calling card, but no card was left, so compounding laziness with blatant lies. I live in a country estate and am always aware if any vehicles enter or leave the estate. Either the driver is lost, or just wants to get home for supper. I'd guess the latter.
I ordered using Amazon Prime to be assured next day delivery. The parcel was in the next city at 1pm today (30 minutes away), and that's obviously not early enough to get a parcel to me by 10PM. DPD is the very weak link in this chain.
