Worst experience I have ever had with a delivery company, Could not have been any more dissapointed. I should have had a parcel delivered to me almost two weeks ago now but I am still yet to receive anything. On the day of the delivery (02/11/2017), I received a text which said the driver failed to deliver the item as there was no one at home even though I had been sitting around waiting for the parcel the whole day - absolutely ridiculous!! I called to complain and received an upgrade for a Saturday delivery but did not get any explanation as to why there was no attempt to deliver the item. To make things even worse, I had to AGAIN stay at home the whole day on Saturday (03/11/2017) waiting for the item and although I got a delivery window time of 13:30 - 14:30, nothing came during that time. Continuously calling DPD and having to speak to different people who had no idea of what was happening, I was finally able got some info stating that the driver had been stuck in traffic and should reach me no later than 16:30. Surprise, surprise comes 16:30 and still NOTHING. Called DPD again and a lady which did not seem like she had any interest in helping me stated that she was not able to track the driver and to 'just sit tight and wait'. After a few minutes I get a text that said my delivery was dropped off at a house, WHICH WAS NOT MINE, as no one was in. INFURIATED I left my house to go to my neighbors who I DO NOT KNOW and luckily ran into the DPD driver. He argued that although I had been waiting and listening out for the door the WHOLE day, he could not some how get anyone to open the door for him so he thought he should give it to anyone around my area. If it was one of my immediate neighbors, I could have been a bit more understanding but this house was in a completely different building and practically down the road from where I live. So, apparently, according to him "If a recipient does not open the door, DPD drivers are allowed to give the parcel to any one of their neighbors," even if its a house half way down the road - If that really is the policy of DPD I would really be concerned about the safety of every single parcel that gets processed through them. ANYWAYS - I explained that I do not know the people that live at that address and if he could help me explain and retrieve the parcel - he rudely refused, told me he had better things to do and got in to his van and drove off, leaving me to deal with a situation he clearly messed up. I went to the address which I was told had accepted my parcel and the person told me they refused to take it as they did not know the who lived at the address on the parcel. SO WHERE THE F IS MY PARCEL DPD?? And regardless of calling every single day for nearly two week and dealing with the sender of the parcel I still have not received a PHONE THAT HAS COST ME £700. How have I not received any updates for the past week??? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. This is absolutely ridiculous.
