I agree that Gear4Music is a great company that I have also used...BUT their judgment of trusting DPD with deliveries will only backfire.
After numerous disappointments with DPD I now ask my suppliers who they use for delivery. If the answer is DPD then I cancel my order and go elsewhere...It is just not worth the risk and frustration dealing with these unreliable, rude and dishonest people who seem unable to provide the commissioned service.
