I wish Amazon didn't use dpd - they are awful. They will message with a delivery time slot. You make sure you are at home during that slot but no delivery is attempted. Then an email arrives that it has been attempted and you weren't in. So the driver couldn't manage the delivery and lied about attempting to deliver, but when you try to contact customer service - there is a slim chance of speaking to someone unless you have another hour or more at your disposal to wait to get through, and so dpd will never find out their drivers would rather not say they were not able to deliver (they do this, possibly, because their jobs are stretching them beyond to which is possible).
