In March 2013 I purchased a massage chair at the Pittsburg Home Show. The sales personnel (one from the manufacturer) did their sales pitch, part of it I was told of the 5 year extended warranty. I purchased the chair with the 5 year extended warranty. My sales receipt shows that I purchased the extended warranty. It is quite explicit, the cash register printed tape shows "5 Year Extended warranty" . The extended warranties are always added to the original warranty. In this case I have nothing less than 2 years left on my warranty. Inada now decides that the printed register tape is to be interpreted as 5 years total, in other words I am being told that I purchased a 3 year extended warranty. So be it I say this to anyone interested in a massage chair. Do not pay twice as much money for a Inada chair. It was the warranty that swayed me to Inada. Now it is obvious had I purchased a less expensive chair at half the cost I would now be able to purchase a new chair and have a new warranty. strange how the warranty runs out when something goes wrong. Inada is more than willing to send a service person out at my cost.
