The Dunkin' Donuts on S. Lynnhaven in Virginia Beach seems to have no idea what they are doing - or they just don't train their employees well. I stopped in to purchase a dozen donuts two days ago, early evening. I asked for a half dozen jelly donuts, only to have the girl behind the counter tell me they didn't have those. So I then asked for 1/2 dozen apple fritters. Same response - they don't have those. Third attempt - 1/2 dozen creme filled, same response. So I asked if they had any filled and she responded they do not have donuts. I gave up. I went back the next morning and had no problem with the drive thru in getting the same donuts. But - when I handed the girl my (gold) American Express company card, she told me 'sorry but we do not take that card, sorry'. Ads everywhere say that Dunkin Donuts and AMEX are marketing partners. And, yet, they do not accept AMEX? This particular shop seems more focused on sandwiches and beverage sales.
