My recliner chair from Furniture On Line was confirmed to arrive this Friday and in fact was delivered unannounced on Thursday. The driver said he was on his own and would need help taking it out of the lorry. I said that was impossible for me to do because of my injured chest and arm. He went to the van, dropped the heavy box on the floor and then tried to roll the big square box to my door. When I remarked that there were arrows on the box telling him which way up it was supposed to stay he said he was on his own. I asked why he was on his own and he said he had been subcontracted. They should never have sent such a big heavy item out with just one person and seemingly not even a trolley for him to take it from the lorry to my house.I have complained to the company I bought it from that they should not use such a disgraceful delivery service making the whole delivery experience so upsetting and distressing that I am actually not going to buy anything more from that company until I can be reassured that they have change their delivery company to a company that actually cares about and respect its customers. I cannot now be confident about the integrity of the recliner. Shame on you DX!
