This letter is to warmly THANK Samantha Gilbert, for the very compassionate, educated, very knowledgeable care she has given to my family since 2018.
Some of my personal journey getting well. It started when I was pregnant at age 34 & so excited. Up till then I was busy working, had lots of energy, slept well.
My nine months being pregnant I was nauseous, 24-7 days a week & had a terrible metal taste in my mouth all 9 months.
After Connor was born, an emergency C-section, I was so tired I couldn’t get out of bed & had a lot of pain, in my arms mostly, It was hard picking up & holding Connor.
Went to doctors, who sent me to other specialists. They diagnosed me with rheumatoid arthritis & fibromyalgia. They suggested pain meds & sleeping pills. That wasn’t something we wanted to do. So I dealt with the everyday all day pain & extreme sleep deprivation, being a new mom & working. I remember thinking every morning as I nursed Connor how much I didn’t want to be a sick mom or wife & jip my son, husband & myself out of one the most special times in my life of being a mom.
6 years later, we moved to Palms Springs CA. The warm hot days seemed to help my pain, but still not sleeping, more than 4 hours a night.
Clint & I began to become more interested in alternative health methods. While I tried real hard to pretend I wasn’t that sick.
I was tired of going to doctors who only wanted to use meds & pills. We started to address our eating habits. We were your normal soda, very processed food eating family.
Clint continued to research more doctors to help his wife & his son with mental health issues. This is when he found the website for Menseh Medical. He read they did nutrient therapy for mental health. This is what we were looking for.
We flew to Chicago. Had an hour consultation, blood tests & more. Clint wanted me to be tested. We all have been on the Menseh nutrient protocol since then, getting good results. They suggested also seeing Samantha Gelbert in her practice ‘Eat for life’.
After our first phone visit with Samantha, we were excited (my first time being excited with a new doctor). Her compassionate, sincere caring consultation was different from all the others. She asked lots of questions it seemed liked she really cared & really wanted to help. And it’s been the same through all the years we’ve continued with her. She listens I mean really listens to you.
She tests first, doesn’t guess, makes an appointment to discuss in detail the results of tests & her suggested protocol. Teaching & walking you each step making big changes with eating habits seems doable & easier with her continued support & help. We have learned so much from Sami, with what we have implemented in our lives with good results. We’ve recommended her to many a friend & relative. When we first went to Sami, Clint begged me to see her, just one more doctor he said. I had just retired from teaching after 42 years. 32 years of that being very sick. My last functional doctor told me if I didn’t retire soon I was going to die. My illness was really bad. I was wondering why at night, when, I did not sleep, I had dreams of dying. Sami said, be patient you are very sick you have to peel back the layers, like an onion. We’re still peeling back the onion & now working on other issues. Sticking with Sami & not quitting has brought me back from the dead, literally. Words can’t explain my great appreciation & love for my husband. When I wanted to give up he didn’t let me. He found Sami. But it’s not the end we will continue with Sami with hard work to stay the course in taking care of ourselves with the right teacher/doctor.
“Sami, Thank you is not enough for all you do for our family & many more” We love you!
I forgot to mention, I have no more pain, no arthritis, I sleep way better. I can’t believe 7 years ago my body was dying.
