eBay has always been, and still is, a pretty low-quality online marketplace because they can’t seem to keep their services professional. Yes, most transactions do conclude successfully, but that is often more by luck than design. In my experience, whenever I encounter an issue with a transaction, eBay either does nothing or very little to help. Their so-called protection services are practically non-existent, and they often artificially inflate participant reputations by boosting positive feedback while downplaying negative ones. Overall, there are simply too many issues with their services. Reputable merchants and buyers do exist on the platform, of course, but for the average person, it’s a total hit-or-miss experience.
