A fuel pump I ordered didn't arrive, the seller said it had been delivered by myHermes, they said " yes it had been delivered, but no one was in", I searched for it, no joy. I complained to eBay, then went back to Hermes, this time they said it had been delivered to Flat 1 ?, I explained that I live in a house in the country, not in a Flat, they then said the seller had put the wrong address on the pump. I had a reply from eBay...case closed, the seller had proof that the item had been delivered. I phoned the seller , Hermes had been in touch with him saying the item had been lost, he said he would send another pump.....didn't arrive. I appealed eBay's decision...they wanted proof from Hermes....I sent them a copy of the email chat I had with Hermes,,,that wasn't good enough. Fortunately Hermes sent me a letter headed email apologising for the lost of the item, it was forwarded on to eBay, the reply I got back was that they needed a letter headed confirmation from Hermes! So I sent another one, as yet I haven't heard if they received that one, as they just went back to the beginning & said the case is closed,,,but I can appeal. Eventually, after two more phone calls the pump arrived, no thanks to customer services. However , being a bit pissed off with eBay insinuating that I was dishonest, I emailed them to point out that I was correct in saying the pump wasn't delivered to me, the seller agreed that the pump was lost & Hermes said they had lost the pump & that a second pump was sent, I also pointed out my name is Mr Quin, not Patrick, I'm a customer not one of eBay mates! What comes back...." this case is closed, you haven't sent the documents we asked for. You have 5 days to appeal". I sent them another email pointing out the customer care dept.was rubbish & they either didn't read or couldn't understand customers emails, I also said there was no need to reply. Their answer to that was.." we are sorry you have such a problem with delivery, but we have proof that the item had been delivered & I could appeal. I have a feeling I've been emailing a computer! I shall now get on with the rest of my life!!
