This should be Five stars! But ...
No complaints with Ebuyer's goods or prices, which have been excellent. I do, though, have a problem with their recent delivery charges.
I live on the Isle of Wight, 4 miles from Portsmouth. The IoW is treated as Mainland by the majority of couriers, due to the vast amount of delivery traffic, and Ebuyer's website does not show the IoW among their list of non-mainland areas. Indeed, the laptop I'm using at present came here with no delivery charge.
Ebuyer's website, however, insists on treating the Island as being one of the Channel Islands, attracting a large delivery charge. A tablet bought recently had an extra £8.98 on top (from their courier over whom, according to Customer Services, they have no control) making the tablet only slightly cheaper than other stores. I still bought it from Ebuyer as I know and trust the company.
Today, I tried to order a USB flash drive with FREE delivery, via Royal Mail. Once again, I'm now in the Channel Islands, and hit with a delivery charge of £5.99, twice the cost of the flash drive. This is even worse, as Royal Mail do NOT charge extra for the Channel Islands.
So, somewhere along the line things are amiss. Unless they're sorted, I won't be using Ebuyer very much in the future.
