Bought a laptop from ebuyer and was very impressed with it, so impressed, I bought one for my mum, thats where the problem started. Whe I received the laptop the touch pad didnt work, so I contacted ebuyer to say this and they said to send it back to them, so I did. about a week later, I received an email from them saying that the damage was not covered by the manufacturers warranty, and therefore they would send the laptop back to me. I rang them and asked what had happened and they said that they had received just a laptop in a box so they sent me photos of a smashed up laptop. So I persisted and Persisted that this was not the condition I sent it in, they said they would look in to it. About a week after this, I received the smashed laptop, to find a clear footprint on the middle of the screen, and some of my packaging materials. After about 10 phone calls lasting over 3 hours in total over a SIX WEEK period, I finally have a new laptop. However I felt that I was well within my rights to ask for some compensation for the six week period that I was without my laptop, ut no, apparently they don't offer compensation.
This is a real shame as I have had a lot of good experiances with them in the past, however I would be hesitant to order from them again.
