I got sick of the terrible customer service and overpriced energy, so I switched away. Once I had confirmed change of supplier I contacted Ecotricity to ensure the account was up to date to the end of the contract at which point they informed me I was £334 In credit.
I requested and received a refund.
Now, some 6 weeks later, they want £175 from me as I final bill despite me instructing them to refund me ONLY at closure of the account.
Am pursuing formal complaint procedures.
