I am not a customer of EDF Energy, but they seem to think I am! For months now, I’ve been receiving bills from EDF, despite living in New Zealand and not in South Wales, where their actual customer with the same name resides.
You’d think this would be a simple mix-up to resolve, but despite my polite emails explaining the situation, EDF has done nothing to correct their mistake. Instead, their responses suggest it’s somehow my responsibility to fix this.
What’s worse is that, in the meantime, their real customer is at risk of having their power cut off because EDF is sending their bills halfway around the world to me instead! This level of incompetence and lack of customer care is unacceptable. If this is how they treat people who aren’t even their customers, I dread to think how they treat the ones who are.
Avoid EDF Energy if you value reliable service and decent customer support.
