I rented a core drill and bit from HD they said would cut through some quartzite I was using. Took me 2 hours and I busted their bit. HD returned my deposit and money so treated me well. I decided to go online and buy my own bit. Cut 4" diameter hole through 1 3/4" stone in around 5 mins. Well worth the cost as it performed as I had hoped.
