I contemplated if I should call or write about this. Decided against it. But then I saw the email asking for the review and stewed it over some more. So, here are my honest thoughts about the experiences I just had with the company. What I thought was interesting about how one goes about making an account was an interesting feature, it should have been my first warning sign. But the ease and flow of the site added in with the fact you guys originally had the first wig that I wanted for the 98th birthday party for my great grandma, I am attending in two weeks when I had ordered the wig that I needed to return leads me to finding my second red flag. The second red and third flag is the lack of warning about the 20% restocking fee on all wigs at checkout (third flag). I received the wig on Saturday, October 14, 2023, late afternoon, I didn't even take it out of the bag but looked at it under bright kitchen lights to see that the pink streaks in the wig looked more orange and that I wanted to return it. I was surprised and highly irritated when I scrolled down to look for how to do the returns and read the policy (second flag) to see the '20% restocking fee, and possibly a higher fee based on item condition, will apply. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. Items must be brand-new, unworn, uncut, and unaltered, with all original packaging.' - as for the shipping fee not being refunded and 14 day time period, which makes it completely normal to me in all the 13 years of me ordering wigs online, coupled with the fact I also ordered two wigs (keeping the other). Seeing a 20% restocking fee on a wig that never opened and returned was requested Sunday on October 15, 2023. With one that I then had to find out the postage for the return is covered by me, to get a wig, that will not be used out of my house so it isn't taking up space, on top of $38.88, 20%, $7.77 or $7.78, depending if round to the nears number up occurs happens will be taken out of the refunded amount, back the company that I gotten it from. So I now need to add on my payment of postage to that 20% ($7.78) which is $7.75, because I made sure that I got it in the mail as soon as I had the chance which was only one day after my return request was approved as could not get to the post office in time before they closed, so October 17, 2023. So, me having a wig that I did not like, that I got from a company that had two wigs that I wanted and had a nice functional website. But had to get my second choice as a back out. Needed to return it to them in way less than 14 days, being with me getting it mailed out 3 days counting from when I received it. Has now cost me $15.53, which is almost 1/3rd the cost of the wig. From this whole process- It has been made clear after going through all of this that the company does not value or want repeat customers. Does not value its customers. Is more concerned with keeping the money it receives from the first orders that it receives than with customers being satisfied with the products that they receive from them along with the service that they get, as I can say, I did receive my wigs rather quickly. However, I can not in good conscience recommend this site/company to anyone or my friends who ask me about where I get my wigs/hair from in person nor can I suggest this site to my online friends in the cosplays and anime/games conventions communities that need them for their character. It would not be right to have them have to go through what I just went through. While you are sitting thinking it may be all over 1/3rd the cost of the wig, it is more that is over no clear signs at check out that you do not provide returns that are easy to do or reasonable to understand. Along with the lack of respect you have for your wanting to get your customers to buy from you again. And also the following below. Had I retried to return the wig passed 14 days, cut with product on with, damaged in some way, worn, and unopened, I could understand the 20% restocking fee. If the wig was taken out of the bag, touched, worn, combed, and even cut off the plastic that holds it to the thin cardboard I could understand a 10% restocking fee. But on wigs that haven't been opened, touched, messed with, or even looked or in my home longer than a week, a 20% restocking fee on top of having them pay to send the item/items back to you is outrageous, seems, and comes off as financial extortion to force people to products and items they do not like because of the cost they will incur on their in to do a return.
