Bought this for my daughter who started showing interest in wanting to draw and color but everytime I gave her crayons she thought it was a free for all to color on the wall or whatever she wanted. Inevitably I had to take them from her because it wasnt worth the stress of her coloring on everything. This mat is perfect because now she can draw whatever she wants and if she does venture from the mat to the wall there's nothing to worry about as no color is actually coming from the markers color only shows up on the mat.
